SUBHIKSHA – A new kitchen and dining space

At present, the kitchen is located in an old building. There is no facility in this kitchen to cook for 450 people. Due to the kitchen floor level being lower than the courtyard, rainwater enters the kitchen during the rainy season, making it difficult to cook. The kitchen is located at one corner of the building where men are accommodated, and during cooking, the smoke and heat cause discomfort for the patients resting in the upper floors.

The space for washing utensils, cleaning rice, vegetables, fish, meat, etc., and the storage room, freezer room, etc., are scattered in different parts of the buildings. The distance between the kitchen and the dining area causes significant daily difficulties in food distribution. When the ground floor of the newly planned building includes the kitchen, its associated facilities, the dining area, and the office, it will help resolve the existing issues.
